How to keep yourself cool & glowing in this summer?

The month of March has already started in the majority of the country the afternoon temperatures show a rising trend. Yes, the summers are round the corner, and you should be equipped with arms and arsenal to beat the heat.
Surely, it is a time to carry you glamorously in cool and light summer dresses and enjoy the delicious taste of tropical fruits. However, it is also a time to take extra care of the skin and complexion. Exposure to extremely hot temperature and warm air could harm it badly. Excessive sweating, dust, and grime make the things further bad. Here are some tips.
Do not forget to carry the Sunscreen lotion everywhere
When you apply a good-quality sunscreen lotion of high CPF value, it reduces the impact of UV rays dramatically. Do you know the right time to apply the sunscreen? Apply it at least half an hour before you step out.
Make sure you use waterproof sunscreen lotion. Reapply the cream or lotion every two hours. Experts suggest that try to avoid the sun during 10AM to 4PM as it is the harshest time in the day. Even if you apply the best quality sunscreen, there is a great impact on the body. The SPF value of the sunscreen lotion should be more than 40. The higher is the SPF value, the better are the results.
Drink plenty of water
Nothing can replenish the luster and glow of your skin as water can. In the scorching summers, you should drink plenty of water. Don’t wait till you feel thirsty. In fact, the feeling of thirst is the situation when the water level in the body goes below the threshold level.
Instead, drink water at regular intervals. If it feels boring, then you can seek other alternatives such as coconut water, fruit juice, buttermilk, sugarcane juice or green tea. All these drinks not only refresh the body; but provide necessary vitamins and minerals as well. Drinks such as Green Tea contain plenty of antioxidants. It removes dead skin cells and improves the luster of the skin. It also helps in detoxifying your body and that is can clean your body from inside. Keeping yourself hydrated is very important in summer else you will have to face sun stroke kind of problems.
You can try the steam therapy in summer. You will be able to get rid of all the dirt that got accumulated in the skin and will also open up all the clogged pores of the skin. You can go for this steaming therapy once or twice in a month. This will keep the skin glowing and also soft
Remove the dead skin (exfoliation)
When you want glowing skin, it is important that you exfoliate it regularly. There is no sense in applying creams, lotions, and moisturizer unless you remove the dead skin cells from the outermost layer. Buy a good quality exfoliating sponge or massager. You can use scrub also which can be homemade or you can buy it from the beauty stores.
A simple paste of milk, oatmeal, and gram powder works excellently. Rub the mixture gently all over the face, hands, and feet in circular movements. Let it dry for three minutes and then rinse thoroughly. Don’t forget to repeat it at least twice a week.
You can see the difference in the skin tone and smoothness after a few days application. But make sure that you are not exfoliating your body too much.
Toning and anti-tanning
You should make use of toning and anti-tanning to balance the pH level and remove dirt and toxins. Anti-tanning face pack reduces the darkness and improves skin tone. Use only natural ingredients such as Glyserine and Rosewater for toning and a mixture of almonds, lime juice and milk for anti-tanning. There are many detan packs also available in the market and that can save your time as well. But make sure to check the ingredients list before you start using them.
